“Na santhavaṁ kāpurisena kayirā,

Ariyo anariyena pajānamatthaṁ;

Cirānuvutthopi karoti pāpaṁ,

Gajo yathā indasamānagottaṁ.

Yaṁ tveva jaññā sadiso mamanti,

Sīlena paññāya sutena cāpi;

Teneva mettiṁ kayirātha saddhiṁ,

Sukho have sappurisena saṅgamo”ti.

Indasamānagottajātakaṁ paṭhamaṁ.
