“Seno balasā patamāno,

lāpaṁ gocaraṭhāyinaṁ;

Sahasā ajjhappattova,

maraṇaṁ tenupāgami.

Sohaṁ nayena sampanno,

pettike gocare rato;

Apetasattu modāmi,

sampassaṁ atthamattano”ti.

Sakuṇagghijātakaṁ aṭṭhamaṁ.
