“Tāta māṇavako eso,

tālamūlaṁ apassito;

Agārakañcidaṁ atthi,

handa demassagārakaṁ”.

“Mā kho tvaṁ tāta pakkosi,

dūseyya no agārakaṁ;

Netādisaṁ mukhaṁ hoti,

brāhmaṇassa susīlino”ti.

Makkaṭajātakaṁ tatiyaṁ.
