Saṅkappavagga

Translator: Mahāsaṅgīti Tipiṭaka Buddhavasse 2500

“Mamannapānaṁ vipulaṁ uḷāraṁ,

Uppajjatīmassa maṇissa hetu;

Taṁ te na dassaṁ atiyācakosi,

Na cāpi te assamamāgamissaṁ.

Susū yathā sakkharadhotapāṇī,

Tāsesi maṁ selaṁ yācamāno;

Taṁ te na dassaṁ atiyācakosi,

Na cāpi te assamamāgamissaṁ”.

“Na taṁ yāce yassa piyaṁ jigīse,

Desso hoti atiyācanāya;

Nāgo maṇiṁ yācito brāhmaṇena,

Adassanaṁyeva tadajjhagamā”ti.

Maṇikaṇṭhajātakaṁ tatiyaṁ.
