3. Pūtimukhapetavatthu

Translator: Mahāsaṅgīti Tipiṭaka Buddhavasse 2500

“Dibbaṁ subhaṁ dhāresi vaṇṇadhātuṁ,

Vehāyasaṁ tiṭṭhasi antalikkhe;

Mukhañca te kimayo pūtigandhaṁ,

Khādanti kiṁ kammamakāsi pubbe”.

“Samaṇo ahaṁ pāpotiduṭṭhavāco,

Tapassirūpo mukhasā asaññato;

Laddhā ca me tapasā vaṇṇadhātu,

Mukhañca me pesuṇiyena pūti.

Tayidaṁ tayā nārada sāmaṁ diṭṭhaṁ,

Anukampakā ye kusalā vadeyyuṁ;

‘Mā pesuṇaṁ mā ca musā abhāṇi,

Yakkho tuvaṁ hohisi kāmakāmī’”ti.
